Hello! Welcome to the Friends of the Millinocket Memorial Library website. We are pleased that you have chosen to visit our site, and we welcome any questions, comments, and suggestions you may have… whether about our website, our Friends group, upcoming activities, etc.
Friends of Millinocket Memorial Library are quite active within the Millinocket community. We welcome residents, patrons and out-of-town visitors to come in and browse and make use of the Library resources. We take pride in our commitment to focus on introducing the Millinocket Library resources and services within our area communities. In addition, we support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association Bill of Rights.

History of the Friends Millinocket Memorial Library
In 1999, Tracy Richardson, a 1982 graduate of Stearns High School who was living in Benedicta with her former husband and two young daughters, recognized the need for a Friends group at the Millinocket Memorial Library. Since her girls were home-schooled, the library had become an important part of the girls’ education. She made a weekly trip to Millinocket in those days for the girls to attend Story Time on Thursdays. Read More>>>
